How Arable ensures accurate temperature measurements from the Mark device
One of the most important Mark measurements is air temperature.
Ambient air temperature surrounding the Mark device is measured using a carefully designed chamber that allows air to flow freely past the measurement sensor.
However, raw measurements recorded by outdoor temperature sensors may not always be accurate, particularly during the peak of the day when the body of the thermometer heats up due to solar loading. Hence, there is a need to calibrate or correct these raw temperature measurements.
Arable solves this by passing the raw measurements through intelligent models. This process entails using raw sensor measurements from the Mark to derive features that are used as inputs into a machine learning model that outputs more accurate temperature values.
So you can rest assured that the temperature you're reading from your Arable Mark device is accurate.
